Vanilla Cocktails, And More, For Valentine’s Day



This Valentine’s Day, don’t shy away from all things Vanilla. Mix up your Valentine’s Day with SKYY Infusions Vanilla Bean cocktails! Mixologist John deBary of New York speakeasy PDT has created the BLVSH and Mixologist Franky Marshall of Clover Club has created Crème de Vanilla cocktails, both of which are perfect for that sultry V-Day sip for you or your special someone and graciously shared with Pop Culture Trends readers!

The latest Infusions release from the iconic blue bottled vodka, SKYY Infusions Vanilla, made with real vanilla beans, features a rich, smooth taste of creamy soft vanilla, luscious white chocolate and slightly toasted caramel creating a delicious, decadent flavor that lingers on your tongue. Now, if vanilla isn’t your thing, you can opt for something apple from Basil Hayden's Bourbon or a traditional chocolate flavored drink courtesy of the folks at Laphroaig. BLVSH
Created by Mixologist John deBary of New York speakeasy PDT 
  • 1 ½ oz. SKYY Infusions Vanilla Bean
  • ½ oz. SKYY Infusions Moscato Grape
  • ¾ oz. Lime Juice
  • ½ oz. Simple Syrup
  • ½ cup Organic Raspberries

Combine all ingredients in a shaker. Fill shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds. Pour into a coupe glass.


Crème de Vanilla
Created by Mixologist Franky Marshall of Clover Club
  • 2 ½ oz. SKYY Infusions Vanilla Bean
  • ½ oz. White Creme de Cacao
  • ½ oz. Stumptown Cold Brew Coffee
  • ¾ oz. Half and Half Cream
  • ½ oz. Cinnamon Syrup
  • Milk Chocolate Shavings
  • 2 Vanilla Beans

Pour all ingredients into a small tin, and fill up 3/4 of the tin with pillow ice. Blend on Medium-High for approximately 16-20 seconds. Then pour into small snifter. Garnish with milk chocolate shavings and vanilla beans.


Basil Hayden's Apple Bubbly
  • 1 part Basil Hayden's Bourbon
  • Sparkling Apple Juice

Add Basil Hayden's Bourbon to a champagne flute and fill the remainder with sparkling apple juice.
Garnish with a sliced apple.


The Perfect Gentleman
  • 1 1⁄2 parts Laphroaig 10-Year-Old Scotch Whisky
  • 3⁄4 part DeKuyper Crème de Cacao Dark
  • 1 1⁄2 parts Heavy Cream
  • 2-3 dashes Orange Bitters

Shake vigorously with ice and strain into a chilled stemless cocktail glass. Garnish with fresh shaved chocolate.


Love, Laphroaig
  • 2 parts Laphroaig Quarter Cask
  • 1/2 part Cynar
  • 1/2 part Apricot Brandy
  • 2-3 dashes Angostura Bitters

Place all ingredients in a mixing glass, add ice and stir. Strain into a tall highball glass and garnish with a brandied cherry.
